CEDAR LAKE — Two Gary men are in custody after they were caught driving a U-Haul filled with allegedly stolen furniture and appliances from a recently-sold home in Cedar Lake's Lakeside subdivision.

In a Facebook post Saturday afternoon, the Cedar Lake Fire Department said preliminary investigation suggests a EF0-EF1 tornado did touchdown in parts of Cedar Lake just after 1 a.m. Saturday.
