At least three homes were damaged in Washington County from a tornado with winds up to 115 mph. It was a surprise storm system that suddenly appeared, Gov. Andy Beshear said.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Tornado warnings were issued Monday night for several counties – including Platte, Pettis, Henry, Benton and Buchanan – as severe storms moved through the area.
