Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr questioned on Thursday whether ABC’s “The View” should be subject to review from the agency, making the daytime talk show Carr’s latest target in his scrutiny of television programs that have been critical of President Donald Trump.
Addressing the FCC’s influence on the decision to pull Kimmel, Goldberg criticized the government’s interference. “You can not like a show and it can go off the air,” she said. “Someone can say something they shouldn’t and get taken off the air. But the government cannot apply pressure to force someone to be silenced.”
