Valve briefly posted (and promptly removed) unfinished pages for the Index that offer both a clearer look at the headset and reveal a June 15th ship date (Engadget has confirmed this with Valve).

The Valve Index VR headset is an interesting monster. It's sorta the same thing as the HTC Vive – but not really. You can use the Valve Index VR headset with HTC Vive Controllers and Base Stations.

Based on that listing, the Valve Index features built-in headphones, support for DisplayPort 1.2 and USB 3.0, and it will ship with a pair of face gaskets and cleaning cloth.
