The Mason City Riverhawks (1-5) fell to the Ames Little Cyclones (3-7) in a pair of games on Tuesday night.

Lafayette High School's baseball team won the MHSAA 5A championship, their first title since 2006. The team had only one returning starter from the previous year's roster.
