The first jobs report of President Donald Trump's second term Friday showed a troubling rise in the unemployment rate for all veterans from 2.8% in December to 4.2% in January.

U.S. economy's mixed jobs report for February: non-farm payroll growth exceeded expectations, but jobless rate and wage growth were disappointing.

Economists had expected the unemployment rate to move higher to 4.3%. In May, the US economy added 144,000 jobs while the unemployment held flat at 4.2%.
