M.B. Reilly, a spokesperson for UC, told The Enquirer Nov. 25 that the university was alerted to the use of its trademarks by Cheatham Middle School a few months ago.

Photos on the middle school's social media pages show that while the school logo appears to show a different "C," some sports uniforms and merchandise does show the C-Paw logo UC owns.

The rebranding process is underway, with Hobbs hoping to have the new logo ready by January to begin ordering supplies and uniforms. The total cost of the rebrand is expected to exceed $100,000 ...
