BOISE -- The U.S. Marshals Task Force says it has located an contacted the man witnesses saw in the Sawtooth National Forest who was believed to be Travis Decker.

The U.S. Marshals Service says law enforcement were searching the area after a possible sighting, but confirmed the hiker was not Decker.

Marshals said the man, who fit Travis Decker's description, was surprised to be targeted by officials in Idaho as a potentially wanted man.
