ENGLAND — A local woman is preparing to swim the English Channel this week. Amy Wamsley is from Yellow Springs and, according to her social media, went to England earlier this month.

After months of training, Wamsley completed her swim across the English Channel in 16 hours, 56 minutes, and 40 seconds, according to the village of Yellow Springs.
