Florida hit another tourism record in 2024, with 142.9 million visitors. Despite that, there are concerns among local tourism leaders that their positions could be in jeopardy.

In 2024, more Canadians traveled to Florida by air (2.1 million) than by other means (1.1 million), such as road travel, according to Visit Florida, the state’s tourism arm.

The milestones include 143 million visitors in 2024, and a domestic market share of 15.5% which means more people are choosing Florida than any other destination state for leisure travel.
