The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Huron County and two EF-0 tornadoes touched down in Ottawa County amid Wednesday night’s storms.

At least two tornadoes — but likely more — touched down in Wisconsin on Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.

Storms producing tornadoes in Ohio often approach from the southwest. They can travel at speeds up to 70 miles per hour and contain winds estimated at over 200 miles per hour.
