ODOT has also done work within the last 10 years on the Anthony Wayne Bridge, also known as the High Level Bridge, like dehumidification and replacing truss spans with steel girder spans.

Bridges not deemed critical/essential are classified as "typical." Both the MLK Bridge, built in 1914, and the Anthony Wayne Bridge, built in 1931, are classified as "typical" in the NTSB report.

The NTSB identified 68 bridges in the country that have an “unknown level of collapse risk," including the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge and the Anthony Wayne Bridge.
