The 14-year-old student was expelled after an incident May 12, 2023, at Bergen County Technical Schools Teterboro Campus, according to the lawsuit.

Kennedy said the cell with the clogged toilet was for disabled inmates and should never have been in use. "No one should have been in this cell to begin with," he said.
