On Tuesday at 3:44 p.m. the National Weather Service released a flash flood warning in effect until 6:45 p.m. for Tioga County.

At 9:58 p.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service released an updated flood warning in effect until Sunday at 3:30 a.m. for Tioga County.

According to the National Weather Service, flooding in the Binghamton area is possible on July 14 due to thunderstorms causing excess rainfall.

A church in Tioga County has opened a shelter for those affected by flash flooding in Newark Valley on July 13, and has extended its hours.
