KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - As severe storms rolled through the metro on Tuesday, sparking multiple tornado warnings, some people in Jackson County said they heard sirens after the storm passed.

These sirens are designed to alert people outside that it’s time to seek shelter, but they don’t always mean severe weather is overhead. We explain.
