Jackson police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on July 4th. The shooting took place around 4:15 p.m. Police have not yet identified a suspect.

On the Fourth of July, Jackson police officers received a call at approximately 9:50 p.m. in reference to a shooting located near the 900 block of Cooper Road in South Jackson.
