The Nintendo-themed theme park first opened at USJ in March 2021, and details of the planned Donkey Kong expansion were announced at a press conference today at USJ attended by IGN Japan.

This is not a standalone Nintendo theme park, but a section of Universal Studios Japan. It’s set to open on December 11, more than three years after its original announcement in September 2021.
