The suspect, identified as Wess Roley, 20, is believed to have climbed a tree and shot the firefighters below with a shotgun, the Kootenai County sheriff, Robert Norris, told reporters.

Deputies have not released any further information about the suspect or the motive for the killing. Original report: The 15-year-old killed in Wyoming in a July 9 shooting has been identified.

So far, city foresters have removed more than 1,000 ash trees, treated 6,000 ash trees in parks and parkways, and planted 1,500 trees per year to make up for the loss to Denver’s tree canopy.
