Savannah Police (SPD) officers responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Tatem Street at 11:37 p.m. on Tuesday. There they found 19-year-old Mahki Hampton, who later died.

Officials responded to the 800 block of Tatem Street at around 10:45 p.m. based on ShotSpotter reports. Once there, officers said they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
