The Tacoma Fire Department responded to an early-morning crash near the Tacoma Central shopping center. Around 1 a.m., a car hit a telephone pole on S Cedar Street and landed on its side.

3:20 p.m. update: Power has been restored in the Lakewood area, according to Lakeview Light & Power. Around 3,000 customers near Tacoma are still without power, TPU’s outage map shows.
