The severe weather threat in the DC area is over. A few storms may pop up overnight into early Saturday morning.

A line of severe storms with damaging winds will march across Tennessee later this evening and reach the mountains overnight.

On Thursday, a storm system brought strong winds, large hail, tornadoes and thunderstorms to the Midwest. The severe weather is expected to shift and continue over the weekend.
