A cause of death has been revealed for a paddleboarder who was killed in a Maine pond as police confirmed a teenager, 17, has been arrested in connection with the murder.

Sunshine Stewart, 48, was found dead during a search last Thursday on Crawford Pond in the town of Union, Maine State Police said.

A 17-year-old has been arrested in the alleged murder of Sunshine Stewart, a paddleboarder who was found dead after being reported missing in Maine earlier this month.

Court documents identify the 17-year-old defendant as Deven Young and confirm he has been charged with murder in the killing of Sunshine "Sunny" Stewart.
