Universal Music Group is pushing back against a class-action lawsuit filed by a group of artists including Steve Earle over a 2008 fire that destroyed master tapes.

Universal Music Group claims that the master recordings of Earle and two of the other plaintiffs were not actually lost in a 2008 vault fire.
