New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who suffered a torn ACL in his right knee last October while with the Houston Texans, is reportedly "trending to being able to play" his new team's 2025 season opener on Sept.

The Patriots are hopeful that Diggs can get back to the level of productivity he showed before the injury, when he had six consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons. That's a lot to ask of an aging wide receiver, but Diggs is a rare athlete with an unrivaled work ethic on and off the football field.
