St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Drive, will present a community showing of “The Letter: A Message for our Earth.” The two showings will be at 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29.

Fr. Colin Franklin, pastor at St. George Catholic Church, said the picnic is one of his favorite events of the year.

St. George Catholic Church honored its outgoing parochial vicar, the Rev. Nutan Minj, at a farewell reception Sunday at the Kleinpeter Activity Center.

The preliminary plan includes mergers, such as St. Joseph Bread of Life Parish merging into St. George Parish and St. Andrew Parish into St. Jude Parish.
