Spider-Man 4 was projected for release on May 6, 2011. Sam Raimi was once again on board to direct, with a screenplay penned by Zodiac writer Jamie Vanderbilt.

The Social Network actor, however, did reprise his Spider-Man — along with Tobey Maguire — in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, after denying many rumors that he would be in the film.
