For Mason City football fans looking for a return to the program's glory days, Saturday was a good day.

The Mason City Council approved the purchase of the Suzie Q diner in downtown Mason City for $50,000. The diner has been closed since the April 2024 fire that destroyed the Kirk Apartments.
