Angela Lin, a 29-year-old Google software engineer, died after she was hit on the head by a falling tree branch at Yosemite National Park on Saturday, July 19, while hiking with her boyfriend and two friends.

Google software engineer Angela Lin, 29, died during a fatal accident at Yosemite National Park where a large tree branch fell on her.

Tuolumne Grove is home to about two dozen mature giant sequoias and is a popular destination in the park. The area was temporarily closed following the incident, park officials said.
