The Greater Toronto Area experienced its largest snowstorm in two years Thursday, resulting in major travel issues and school cancellations. Jaden Lee-Lincoln has a first hand look.
The City of Toronto has declared this a ' major snowstorm condition and significant weather event ' ahead of snow operations. The declarations will come into effect at 10 p.m. Wednesday night.
The 217-foot schooner John L. Shaw sank to the bottom of Lake Huron on Nov. 13, 1894, after a blinding snowstorm parted its towline from the John F. Eddy steamer. Shaw took on water and sank.
