Distributed at stores across New Jersey, New York and Connecticut during the weeks of Sept. 26 through Nov. 28, the coins come wrapped in silver foil and red netting with a UPC code of 072700200387.
Only products with the lot code "2283" may potentially have dairy coins in a dark chocolate packaging. Manischewitz is also known for making other foods such as cookies, matzo and macaroons.
The dark chocolate coins were distributed to stores nationwide — though largely in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut — during the weeks of Sept. 26 through Nov. 28, according to the FDA.
