While St. Louis Park and Golden Valley will retain their actual city names, Westopolis will be used to market the area's various cultural, business and visitor experiences.
Discover St. Louis Park, which launched in 2011 and grew to also incorporate Golden Valley in 2017, began using the "Westopolis" name this month.
As of 2020, the vast majority of St. Louis Park’s more than 50,000 residents were those between the ages of 25 and 34, according to Minnesota Compass, a division of St. Paul-based Wilder Research.
