Veteran Indian seamer Mohammed Shami met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the latter's residence on Monday.

Shami returned to the Indian set up for the England ODI series in February after being sidelined in 2024, following his Achilles tendon injury during the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Shami has so far played 64 Tests for India, taking 229 wickets at an average of 27.71. His last Test was the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia at the Oval in June 2023.
