In November, Fairfax County voters will choose 12 school board members to serve four-year terms starting Jan. 1, 2024. Nineteen candidates are running for the nine magisterial district seats.

Ziegler has served on the board since 2014. The vote was 4-to-1 to ask Ziegler to resign from her post. She was the lone dissenting vote, making it clear she's not stepping down.
