Santa Rosa County District Schools is finding a new solution to language barriers. "I was a non-English speaker in the 1970s," said Gulf Breeze High School Assistant Principal Joe Trujillo.

The K-5 school received a “D” grade in 2024. Several of Santa Rosa County’s 30 schools improved their 2024 grades, including Jay Elementary and Pace High which moved to “B” to "A” schools.
