The site of a high-profile restaurant in San Jose has been bought by local investors in a deal that shows some dining and store properties can still attract buyers even in a tricky retail market.
The price for the 147-unit apartment hub at 745 South Bernardo Ave. was 10.1% above the $62.2 million value it had based on the latest estimate posted by the Santa Clara County Assessor’s Office.
In January, a newly created entity called 414 California LLC bought the property, which has an assessed value of $4.35 million, according to the Santa Clara County Assessor’s Office.
