Sanibel plans to reopen beach access areas for two island beaches, Tarpon Bay and Blind Pass, in early February, with more beachfront parks expected to open in March.

Three are located on Sanibel Island — Gulfside City Park Beach (2), Lighthouse Beach (6) and Bowman's Beach (10) — and one is on Fort Myers Beach — Dog Beach, ranked fourth best.
