Annandale High School freshman Landon Nelson leads a group of students walking out of school Wednesday, June 1, to protest district leaders calling LGBTQ “safe space” signs political in nature.

She said she toured schools and saw doors with signs that were 3 by 4 inches inches and read, “Safe space for everyone.” “I just don’t see how that’s so terrible,” she said.
