Sacramento city leaders want to drastically increase the number of trees in the city over the next two decades, implementing a new plan this week to help guide them toward new goals.
SACRAMENTO -- Nearly $18 million in child and youth services funding is in limbo as the Sacramento City Council has not voted to approve how the funding is given out.
The Sacramento Tree Foundation planted 3,000 trees within city limits. The city budgets about $8 million per year to plant trees but hopes to increase this to reach this goal.
