A 17-year-old died after a shooting in Brooklyn Park Tuesday night.

Brooklyn Park police say a girl has died after being shot Tuesday evening in the area of Lakeland Avenue North.

A Hennepin County Medical Examiner report states her death was a homicide. Brooklyn Park is a suburb of Minneapolis, and is about 22 miles south of Elk River, which is in Sherburne County.
