The Canadian government has raised the Survivors’ Flag on Parliament Hill as a way to honor Indigenous Peoples forced to attend the country’s notorious residential schools.
The current Howard County Flag. The flag was presented to the Howard County Commissioners on Sept. 19, 1968 and was raised on the flag pole in front of the Court House by Commissioner Murphy.
