Mordan, 26, died on June 11 when he was found unresponsive on a trail while on foot patrol in the remote desert of the Bootheel of New Mexico, the Border Patrol said.

Mordan entered on duty with CBP and the U.S. Border Patrol on July 8, 2019, as a member of Session 1127. An autopsy will be conducted to determine his cause of death.
