In a blog post, Martin said the episode, titled The Red Dragon and the Gold, delivered action "in spades" as it adapted the Battle of Rook's Rest from his book Fire and Blood.

In Reign of Fire, the only things that get blown up were ALREADY blown up. There's a castle where a bunch of people have been hiding out for a few years, and it gets blown up by a big dragon.
