South Carolina is locked into a battle to land the services of four-star safety Tamarion Watkins.

One man who jumped off of a boat in Lake Marion and later drowned over the weekend has been identified.

South Carolina needs to add depth to its safety room for 2026 and Watkins certainly provides that and more. He is among the top 400 recruits in the 2026 cycle, 7th best in South Carolina.

Texas A&M is now the favorite to land priority 2026 4-star LB Tamarion Watkins, who will announce his commitment on July 14.
