On Thursday, the Rapid City Rush released its schedule for the 2025-26 regular season. The home opener, which pits the Rush against the Wichita Thunder, is on Friday, Oct. 24.

The Rapid City Rush ended their 2024-25 season after another failed attempt at making the playoffs with a record of 31-32-6-3. The Rush earned 71 points but sat 17 out of a playoff spot.

The Rapid City Rush was picked as a finalist in four ECHL Team Awards. The awards will be announced at the league's summer meetings on June 25.

The Rapid City Rush have announced that Coach and General Manager Scott Burt will not be returning for the 2025-26 season. Burt joined Rapid City for the 2021-22 ECHL season.
