The Lone Sailor Statue was unveiled Friday as part of the new Quincy Navy Park at Squantum. Lone Sailor statues now stand in 18 locations around the world, including Pearl Harbor and Normandy, France.

Fifteen Quincy residents are suing Mayor Thomas Koch over recently discovered plans to install controversial Catholic patron saint statues on the front of the city’s new public safety building.
