Uranus is emerging in the eastern sky after being in the sun’s glare. Neptune is in the eastern sky, rising around midnight and near Saturn. You need a telescope to observe the planet.

You really need a dark sky site and binoculars to see this nifty sky sight. May 5-6: The Eta Aquariid meteor shower, which favors observers in the Southern Hemisphere, peaks on these dates.

Have you seen comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS yet? If you haven't yet seen the bright, icy space rock that's traveled from the edge of the solar system, it's not too late. But you need to see it soon.

Probably as far as most are concerned, Comet Tsuchinshan–ATLAS will put on its best showing in the evening sky during the two-week timeframe beginning Oct. 12 and running through Oct. 26.
