The Prescot School on Knowsley Park Lane expelled the child at the end of last term. Before the Christmas break, staff at the secondary school discovered that a pupil had taken an illegal substance.

The former Picture Palace has been restored as part of Knowsley Council's regeneration of Prescot. Laura Higginson, 30, was overdosed with paracetamol in hospital and died days later in April 2017.
