Miller was found shot in the groin near the corner of Central Avenue and Ontario Street around 5:40 p.m. He was taken to Albany Medical Center where he later died.

ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Leonardo Guzman, the man charged in Albany's first homicide of 2025, is set to be arraigned in Albany County court Friday. Guzman faces charges of second-degree murder.

It’s the first time a district attorney in Albany County has prosecuted a case in more than 20 years. Leonardo Guzman, 34, is accused of shooting and killing Dewitt Miller, 30.
