One event to consider attending is the popular Sunflower Wine Festival, supporting the Prayers from Maria Foundation, set to take place from 4 to 11 p.m. July 12 on Depot Street in Rocky River.

The island's Lilac Festival was ranked third among 10 flower festivals in the U.S., according to USA TODAY's 10best Readers' Choice Awards.

The festival will also feature a specialized menu from the Dollywood culinary team. Tasting passes, which allow guests to sample five free offerings, can be purchased in person or online for $42.99.

The Wilder Flower blends folk, Americana and bluegrass sounds plays May 19-June 1. Vocalist Robinella performs pop, jazz, country and gospel music and will play at Dollywood June 2-8.
