A suspected impaired driver crashed into a hydro pole in Metchosin on Wednesday evening, according to West Shore RCMP.

A power pole caught fire and collapsed Sunday morning, closing Strickland Road in Raleigh. Around 9:30 a.m., officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded to Strickland Road near Ray Road.
